Ashinaga Africa Initiative Scholarships 2024 for Orphans

For poor and orphaned African students who wish to continue their undergraduate studies overseas, Ashinaga Africa offers excellent scholarships.

In order to help Scholars become kind change-makers, the AAI provides funding for degrees from foreign universities, leadership development opportunities, and other resources.

Requirements For The Ashinaga Africa Initiative Scholarships

  • Both of your parents must have passed away.
  • The applicant must have been born after September 1, 2001.
  • You must need financial assistance in order to be qualified, meaning you cannot afford to study abroad.
  • must have received final exam results by February 9, 2024, and must have finished secondary school examinations within two years (post-1st August 2021, inclusive 2022 and 2023) thereafter.
  • Know how to communicate in Portuguese, French, or English.
  • Have sufficient health to enrol in an overseas course.
  • Have no dependents that could impede your ability to succeed academically.
  • Once you’ve graduated, you should be committed to going back home or to Sub-Saharan Africa and changing society for the better.
  • For the final two or three years of secondary school, maintain a steady ranking in the top 10% of your class.
  • To be eligible to attend university, you must be able to participate in two Ashinaga preparatory programmes, each lasting a year.

Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, DRC, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Kenya, Kingdom of eSwatini, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
