The CERN Technical Studentship Program’s eligibility requirements are as follows:
- A CERN member or any associate member state’s citizen must be a candidate.
- The applicant’s academic programme (Bachelor’s or Master’s) must have lasted at least 18 months and included a specialisation in an administrative field.
- When participating in the CERN internship programme, they must continue to be full-time students.
- Additionally, candidates need to be proficient in both French and English.
- However, no documentation of an English language test is necessary.
- For the CERN Technical Student Programme 2024, experimental or theoretical particle physicists are not eligible.

The CERN Technical Student Program 2024 has the following advantages:
- To work for CERN, interns will be given a 4 to 12-month contract.
- Additionally, CERN interns will receive a monthly stipend of 3407 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
- If the interns are married or have children, a supplement may be given based on their individual circumstances.
- Interns will be given a travel budget (which includes tickets in economy class).
- CERN will offer a health insurance programme.
- Additionally, interns will receive 2 to 5 days of paid leave each month.
